Introduction
A member of the epidermal growth factor family. Epiregulin may be involved in progression of vascular remodeling, such as atherosclerosis.
Biological Function
May be a mediator of localized cell proliferation. As a mitogen it may stimulate cell proliferation and/or angiogenesis.
