Introduction
ENA78 is a potent chemoattractant and activator of neutrophil functions and is produced by many non-hematopoietic cell types. Its expression is elevated in the inflammed tissues of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, acute appendicitis, allergic airway inflammation. ENA78 is also a potent angiogenic factor in small lung cancer.
